Following a request from one of our members, Jérôme Piche, a retired Major and public relations correspondent for the DMD 69, we welcomed Lieutenant Colonel (ret.) Daniel Mejean, president of the "Royal Deux-Ponts" association, which brings together former members and supporters of the 99th and 299th Infantry Regiments (RI).
This association organizes an annual exhibition in or near Lyon. In 2027, to mark the 30th anniversary of the disbandment of the 99th Infantry Regiment, the association’s representatives plan to host an exhibition centered on the theme of national service and the life of a conscript.
Jérôme Piche (who served as a conscript in the 23rd Company) is familiar with our museum and suggested that its president pay us a visit. Consequently, Frédéric and Jean-Jacques were at La Martinerie this Saturday, October 24, to welcome him.
Delighted by the visit, he has requested our support for the organization of their 2027 exhibition.
