Continuing their exhibition tour in various Indre senior care facilities, Les Amis de la Martinerie were at the La Chaume nursing home in Issoudun on Monday, October 13th, to install their panels on the Indre barracks.
The reason for this exhibition is simply to allow residents of senior care facilities, who cannot travel, to remember and talk about a past they experienced so intensely.
This traveling exhibition is supported by the Centre-Val de Loire Region, the Indre Departmental Council, the Caisse d'Epargne Loire-Centre corporate foundation, the ONaCVG (National Office for Combatants and Victims of War), and the SMLH 36 (Society of Members of the Legion of Honor). The municipality and the facility are also participating in the organization. The meeting with Mr. BEN LAHOUCINE, deputy mayor of Issoudun, present for the opening, should allow us to present our exhibit in two other retirement homes in the town.
Thank you to Mr. PICHON, director of the facility, and Noemie, head of activities, for their unwavering support. Thank you also to Remi, a volunteer with the association, for his help setting up the exhibition and for being there during the week to answer residents' questions.
Next week we will be at the Sacred Heart EHPAD, also in Issoudun.
