In accordance to the regulation associated with the donation of such vehicle, we had to get the EBR’s gun deactivated by welding its breech.
It is Thierry Gommet, from the “Banc National d’Epreuve de Saint-Etienne”, an agency certified by the French government for weapon’s deactivation, who performed that decommissioning. We would like to thank him for his advices.
We now have to restore the vehicle itself and we are looking for specialized volunteers to form a restoration team and, if possible, companies willing to fund that restoration
